We are just back from a 10 night stay at this fabulous, luxury apartment. Our journey was stress free, we were met at the airport and taken directly to our apartment, where we were met by the agent. We were given a quick tour of the apartment and left to get on with enjoying our holiday.
The apartment is very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The air conditioning was excellent, especially given that it reached 41 degrees one of the days! The balcony is huge and there is a bbq, complete with charcoal if you wish to use it.
The apartment is located nearer the Montechorro end of the strip, which is a five minute walk away. It took a bit longer to reach the beach, we estimated 20 minutes, (longer coming back again as it is uphill and we're a bit 'over the hill'!!). On the whole the apartment is very centrally located, but in a very quiet area. There is a cafe on the apartment complex, which is good value with friendly service.
There were plenty of resturaunts and bars to choose from, all within close reach. A train runs every 20 minutes from the strip to the old town and only costs 2 euros.
We used an independent business to book a trip to the Gypsy market and a water park. they were good value for money, picked you up at the complex and dropped us off back at our door. We were taken direct to our destinations and the drivers gave us loads of useful tips about places to go and things to do. What an improvement on previous package holidays, where you spend an hour going around apartments and hotels picking up other people then you have to stand in a huge queue to get in.
This brings me to my final comment, which is about the customer service provided to us by the owner. How refreshing to be able to get a personal service where you can email or phone up with a query and it is answered promptly, efficiently and with good humour. It doesn't sound like much but it is something which has become so rare but takes so much of the stress you have come to take for granted out of your holiday. We were immediately in holiday mode from the time we left Edinburgh airport and would highly recommend this apartment

We have just returned from 10 nights in this fantastic apartment. Airport transfer was excellent and on arrival to the property we were meet by Louise and given our keys. etc. Louise was most helpful.
The property was excellent and i would highly recommend . It was decorated beautifully and had a real home from home feel. Great to have a washing machine and dishwasher. The layout was excellent.
The property is central and it was only a 5 minute walk to the supermarket "AliSuper". Most evenings we walked to the strip and took a taxi to the "Old Town" which only cost around 4 euros. A lovely restaurant to eat in the Old Town, was in the square called "The Bank" also "Hotel Baltum" was lovely for tea.
We took a free bus on a Thursday to Aqualand which our children thoroughly enjoyed.
The beach was about a 15 minute walk but it was a lovely walk to the beach through the strip.
As a family of four and having two children one aged 6 and one aged 13 we had a fanastic holdiay. We know the real plus for our holiday was the apartment!!! The children watched DVDs in the evening as there was a rental shop within corcovada about 2 minute walk from apartment. If you leave a deposit of 25euro which is refundable you can hire as many DVDs as you lkie.
We certainly will book this accommodation for next year as Paul was most helpful and answered all our queries. His customer service was 5 Star.
Thank you Paul for everything and making our experience in Portugal everlasting.

We stayed in the penthouse between 4-12th April 2009.This was really a 5 star penthouse. The accommodation was generous, bright and airy .The accommodation is beautifully decorated and pristine. The facilities in the penthouse make it so easy for a family of 6, with 4 young children to enjoy the holiday. The washer /dryer,full size fridge/freezer and cooker/ hob were most welcome! There's a good coffee maker and juicer to squeeze the oranges on sale at the roadside. The penthouse also has a clothes horse that can be used on the veranda to dry clothes/towels and not compromise your space.
The veranda is huge and comes complete with garden furniture and charcoal bar-b -q to have a nice night in. I felt that the walls ,railings and enforced glass on the veranda made it safe for young children without compromising the sunlight!
The penthouse is only 5-10 minutes walk from the main 'strip' which is full of bars shops and restaurants. The little tourist train can bring you down to the myriad of lovely beaches that surround Albufeira at the cost of 2 euro. The train can also bring you to within 5 minutes of the penthouse,so ideal to bring home the grocery shopping (-check out Modelo opposite McDonald's for a good supermarket.)
There is loads to do for families including a boat trip to see the dolphins and zoo marine. Car hire is relatively cheap and a great idea for trips to neighboring towns on the algarve or discovering good value restaurants ,which are off the tourist trail.
The owner gave us a very personal service, always on hand to share advice and help us to deal with queries. This was the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. I would thoroughly reccomend it to family and friends. We'll be back!!!

We loved this place, and with 2 babies it was prefect. We had a 1 year old and a 6 month old and it was very safe to allow the 1 year old to crawl where ever he liked. Having a washing machine and dish washer was a gift and all you need in a kitchen. We used the barbque and it was a lovely evening having dinner in. We again used the dvd shop which was a great idea on holidays for when the kids went to bed, but the tv channels gave you loads of choice even with cbeebies! The pools were great prefect kids pool, rather cold though. We had cars so we drove to beach it was 5 mins, a hard walk home though up hill im sure! We even visited the Bull fighting very amusing! With cars there is a great shopping centre a 10min drive away. We rented baby items from local guy recommended by the owner and they were great with a bouncer, sterlizer a bag of toys and pram all again great.
This holiday was made very easy with a great appartment, very clean and good size with travel cots and high chair provided, very quiet area and window shutters ment we had no noise and no problems sleeping in exactly what you need on a holiday, also felt very safe. Will hopefully visit again soon.
ps. The main strip is a 5 min walk, and a old town needs to be visited you grocery store bout 10 min walk away past the strip to the roundabout with the big worm, its the cheapest!

This is a fantastic apartment with everything you will need for a fantastic holiday!
I travelled with my two children 20 and 17 and their best friends and everyone was so impressed with this lovely apartment.
It is in a very secure block with a private lift to the apartment. Fully airconditioned, electric shutters huge living and sleeping space, all with luxury fittings.
Beach about a 15 minute walk but a lovely pool on complex.
We will definately be back.

We had a great time and the penthouse was perfect. Rob was waiting for us at the airport even though we touched down an hour late. The kids were very impressed when they saw Rob holding a sign with my name on it. But seriously it's great to get that personal treatment and be brought directly to your apartment rather than getting a coach.
The transfer time was less than 30 minutes and Corcovada is so central. Only a few minutes from the centre of the strip. We certainly didn't need a car. We were within walking distance of Erin's Isle at one end of the strip and the beach at the other end. In fact the only times we got a taxi was to bring our shopping home.
I was confident before we travelled that the quality of the apartment would be high. I knew the complex was new and had seen the photos. But when Louise let me into the apartment first I knew I had made the right decision to book it and that my wife, Caroline and her sister’s family would thank me. There was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 3 children.
Air conditioning was important to me when choosing the apartment and I wasn’t disappointed. Each room could be controlled separately. Even on a hot balmy night, I set it to be very cool and I needed a duvet. Luckily duvets are supplied.
The kitchen was great with everything you would have if you were at home. This was the first time we had a washing machine in our apartment and it made life so much easier.
We spent a lot of time on the balcony and the kids spent time in the sitting room watching tv and dvds. (We joined the local DVD shop (Hollywood 24) quite easily with a refundable deposit of euro25).
We enjoyed Aquashow, the Old Town and cabaret in Fr. Ed’s. We enjoyed pints at euro1.50 in FRED’s (note FRED’s is a completely different place to Fr. Ed’s). We ate very well in the Palacette restaurant, Os Compadres and Obuino’s. We were on a banana boat and a pedal boat but didn’t fancy the jet skis. Next time I’m definitely going parasailing.
Many thanks, Paul, and I would recommend the penthouse to anyone going to the Algarve.

We booked the 3 bed penthouse for long weekend in April 08. The apartment truly is 5 star accommodation!!!
The apartment was massive in size! The large terrace balcony was perfect for relaxing and outdoor dining – there are 3 double sliding doors leading onto the terrace so the whole apartment is bright and airy. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and really generous in size, as are the two bathrooms.
The range of appliances included was brilliant – from flat screen tvs, dvd player, internet access to the iron and coffee maker – its perfect! I can’t imagine that anything is missing.
The location is brilliant – the property is close to the exit of the complex and is literally a 5min walk to bars & restaurants on ‘The Strip’ and a max 10min walk to the beach. The old town was only a Euro4 taxi ride away (but you could walk it!).
Our booking couldn’t have been easier. We booked the airport transfer which was excellent and the property representatives met us at the apartment for a quick orientation.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this apartment to any holiday maker – it is as impressive in reality as the photographs. We all gave it 10/10. I can’t say enough positives about it – BOOK IT!

The property was immaculate and catered for all your needs.Lots of space and great storage for beach "stuff".The balcony was disappointing because it was a bit small, and the air con didn't work which meant for me the property for our week was not 5 star.
Booking was great and we were greeted at the airport and the apartment. The beach was a bit of a trek especially in the heat, but once there it was lovely.I would reccomend this apartment to a friend. The strip was a bit commercial for my liking but the children loved the hustle and bustle.Myself and my husband fell in love with the old town which is were we would stay if we went again.

Owner's Response: The airconditioning was delayed by technical planning laws for this new development - it is now fully commissioned.
The old town is also a favourite place for us to visit - but because it is crowded we prefer the sanctuary provided by Corcovada when you need to get away from it all.
Thanks to Donna for all her comments.

What an amazing apartment!! Beautifully equipped apartment of the highest standard. Comfortable and very clean. The owner of the apartment was very helpful and dealt with all of our queries very quickly and efficiently. The pool area was very well kept with a good sized pool. We loved the area where the apartment was, very near to amazing restaurants and bars. Lots of choices of excellent restaurants to eat in for breakfasts, lunches and evening meals at competitive prices. Two local supermarkets were within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this apartment. Ideal for group holidays or families. We look forward to returning in the future!!
